Magnetic car!

We were learning about magnetics and working with another group, we split from our original groups and went with another group, we had lots of science things to do. we had: the Brain Box, potato battery,lemon battery, the Magnetic car, battery car & more that I don't know, in my group there was: Isobel, Liam,Lucas.S (and me)  we had the magnetic car, we had to put 4 tiny screws into place, add duck tape onto this ice block stick but before they did that I had to walk around with the DUCK TAPE on my fingers! it was really annoying to wear.

 Once the duck tape was off my fingers, Isobel cut the duck tape in half for both sticks and magnets, once she had put the duck tape onto the sticks and magnets we added some wheels onto the car! we put one more thing on that I can't really remember.When the car was finished we tested it out, what we used was 2 magnetic pushing each other like this:

It was hard to put the little tiny screws into place and screw them in because I have never screwed anything before but then I did... and it was hard to put the wheels on while Isobel was trying to add something else And it was hard to have the duck tape on my fingers while watching the others do the work (but I was still helping by holding the tape) 

 

I found it easy when we were playing with it and working with others because I don't really like working by myself but sometimes I do.

My group had the trickiest part to do with the magnetic car because we had to put all the screws into place but all the other group don't have to because we have already done it for them!

Next time I will try and finish my blog post on time just so I don't get any home work 😉

I hope I get to do another rotation.

The Big Race!

 In my writing group we were writing about the 100m Sprint of the Olympic race! The thing that I found hard was probably using the mote because I am not that confident using it so I had some help and what I found easy was putting the backgrounds in, Changing the fonts & using my imagination to write the story. The thing that I Enjoyed was using my imagination to write and adding good fonts and good writing. If I get to do something similar to this I will try to post it more faster. does this writing look good to you?

Olympics Values Animation!

In inquiry we were learning about the Olympics Values, the Olympics values are: Excellence, Friendship & Respect. The thing that I found hard was probably moving all the characters around in each slide & Putin in the audio. The thing that was easy for me was making the texts for the characters so they look like they were talking\speaking. The thing I enjoyed was making the animation with my friends & making the slide look cool! In the future I should probably polyline the characters to make it my own instead of having them of google! Does my animation look good to you??? 

Stacking M&Ms

We were learning how to stack M&Ms, we had to stack the M&Ms up to five that was the record to beat. First we had to try an stack little stones btu for me that didn't work out.

It was hard to try an stack the M&Ms on other M&Ms.

It was easy to only stack two because if I tried to put the 3rd one on it would fall down.

I enjoyed watching the "ALL BLACKS" because they were doing the M&M stacking too.

Next time I will try and stack three.

The Egg Drop!

Today we were learning about Inertia, We had to use: 1 cup (Big or Small) Water, A flat tray or plate, 1 egg, (2 if 1 broke)  1 cardboard toilet roll. So when we put the egg on top of the toilet roll we had to gently hit it and TRY to get it in the cup. 

I found it hard to try and NOT break the egg while we tried to hit it into the cup. (it was VERY hard to NOT break it!)

I found it easy to set up all the equipment.

I enjoyed doing the egg drop it was fun hitting it into the cup but I was scared it was gonna break (and it broke!)

Next time I will try and not break it.

Milk Explosion

 In science we were learning about surface tension, what we had to use was: Milk, food colouring, cotton buds & soup.
It was fun watching the food colouring spread all along the Milk & dipping in the cotton bud into the milk with the soup on it.
It was hard to write up everything that happened & post it. (on my blog).

Next time I will try and finish faster so I can keep up with the rest of the class.

I wonder what experient.

 

Bath Bomb observation

 In science elective we were learning about Bath Bombs.  
It was very fun making the bath bombs because I liked mixing all the ingredients up into a bath bomb.
It was hard to write up what happened and use science language.

Next time I will try and finish faster so I don't get any homework.

This is what happened...

When a bath bomb comes in contact with water, the baking soda and citric acid react to make carbon dioxide bubbles.

I wonder what we will be exploring next time? 

Lava Lamps observation

 In science I was learning about Lava Lamps and how they work.

I found it easy to put all the ingredients in the water.

I found it hard to write everything down & put it on my blog.

I really enjoyed watching it bubble up with little bubbles.

Next time I will try not to talk to my friends and do my work.

EarthQuake Animation

I was learning about natural disasters,First we were doing earthquake so we made an animation.

I found it easy to create all the characters ,house's,writing the words and more.

I found it hard to finish it in only three days but we did it, it was hard to put it on my blog and do all this writing.

I really enjoyed creating the characters,polylining and helping my friends with the animation.

Next time I will  try to finish faster and stop talking and get on with my work.

Easter Haiku poem

 We are learning about Haiku poems.

I really enjoyed putting on the slides, making backgrounds,images and fonts.

I found it challenging to write it in syllables and put it on my blog

I found it easy to put it on a slide and putting images.

Next time I will try and finish faster.

Sounds Of Summer

 We were learning about what we did in summer,

I found it hard to how to publish it,

I found it easy to write it on a slide,

I enjoyed making it have nice backgrounds and have a nice title,
